Kathleen Saylor, the founder of the online education software company Digital Education Group, announced Wednesday the company will be adding to its suite of tools that offer real-time information, analytics and real-world data.
Saylor said her goal is to help users navigate and prioritize learning while improving their learning environment.
The company is also trying to provide students with more control over how and when they learn.
“There is so much going on in our education world today and it’s all very complicated,” Saylor said.
“We are trying to make it easier to manage your learning.
This is about providing the best learning experience possible.”
Saylor is hoping to expand her offerings in the coming months, which will include video lectures, lesson plans and lesson reminders, and video lessons from other companies.
Digital Education Group has a $50 million investment in the startup from investors including Digital Education Partners, an investment firm founded by Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and the billionaire tech investor Warren Buffett.
The group plans to hire at least 1,000 people by the end of the year.
Sayers’ company has been building a network of educators, teachers and administrators who share data and expertise to make learning easier and more effective.
It was founded in 2012 by the same men who built the online college curriculum company Khan Academy, and it has since grown to more than 20 employees.
Digital Edgagroup has more than 1.3 million students across 20 countries.
It is now offering education management and learning management software to more 2.2 million students.
The software includes tools like real-timed video lectures and real time classroom and project management.
DigitalEdgagroups platform is available on desktop, mobile and tablet.
Searchers can also search for a school or program by location, grade level and state.
For students, the company provides interactive learning tools like quizzes and exams.
The platform also allows teachers to use digital learning tools to help them create lesson plans.
Digital education groups has also recently launched a free app called Digital Education Assistant.
The app lets students customize and manage their digital education, helping them manage learning, make assessments, collaborate and keep track of all of their classes.
Sayer said the platform is aimed at providing students with “the tools they need to succeed in the digital economy.”
